چکیده
Abstract Background F wave response, a late response obtained from motor nerve, can be influenced by various external factors like gender, temperature, height, weight, and limb length, hence it causes variation in the measured parameters. Since very few studies have studied impact of arm length on wave, this study was conducted to analyze relation between parameters consider importance during conduct nerve conduction study. Methods The among 40 healthy individuals diabetics with neuropathy. upper limbs both groups recorded following conventional procedure using standardized instrument. Results This showed that groups, there existed positive correlation for certain minimum, maximum mean latencies, persistence, FM latency M latency, negative chronodispersion. Conclusion should adjusted improve sensitivity diagnostic ability neurological testing.

Influence of age on motor nerve conduction.
Motor nerve conduction velocity (MNCV) has been determined in seventy five normal healthy male subjects in different age groups in Right ulnar and median nerves respectively. It is observed that MNCV decreases in the older age group. Further it is seen that MNCV is less in the distal than in the proximal segment, the results being significant in the median nerve.

The temporal branch of the facial nerve is particularly vulnerable to traumatic injuries during surgical procedures. It may also be affected in clinical conditions. Electrodiagnostic studies may add additional information about the type and severity of injuries, thus allowing prognostic inferences. The objective of the present study was to develop and standardize an electrophysiological techniq...

The authors present a technique to perform nerve conduction study in armadillos (D. novemcinctus) and suggest that 66.17 m/s could be the mean normal nerve conduction velocity for the sciatic nerve, a parameter that could be used for assessment of the peripheral nervous system in this animal, considered the choice for experimental development of leprosy neuropathy and even in other peripheral n...
متن کاملIntercostal nerve conduction study in man.
A new surface technique for the conduction study of the lower intercostal nerves has been developed and applied to 30 normal subjects. The problem of the short available nerve segment of the intercostal nerves and the bizzare compound motor action potential (CMAP) of inconsistent latency while recording over the intercostal muscles, is overcome by applying recording electrodes over the rectus a...
متن کاملEffects of age, gender, height, and weight on late responses and nerve conduction study parameters.
BACKGROUND Different methods in performing nerve conduction studies (NCS) yield different results. The results of NCS can also be affected by factors such as gender, age, height, and weight. This study aimed (1) to survey the effects of such factors, (2) to determine the importance of these factors, and (3) to analyze them for building equations in NCS and late response studies. METHODS NCS f...
